Product Description HP Pavilion Slimline s3600z PC with AMD Phenom(TM) 9150e quad-core processor (1.8GHz); 320GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive; 2GB DDR2-800MHz dual channel SDRAM (2x1024); Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (32-bit). Just one-third smaller than a standard HP desktop PC, the petite Slimline s3600z is ideal for setting up "around the house." Use it in a spare bedroom or for looking up recipes in the kitchen. You'll love being able to chat online, pay bills, and read the news in the room of your choice.

Excellent value, great build quality December 8, 2008 Amrit Tiwana (Decatur, Georgia, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an excellent value for the money. I shopped around and got the version with 3 Gig RAM, 250 Gig HDD, and (not by choice) Vista. I replaced the OS with XP and the thing flies. Vista was okay but I did not intend to use it (runs fast enough to be usable but slow enough to be irritating; not the PCs fault but Vista's fault). It runs fairly cool and has a thoughtful array of ports placed in the right places (e.g., two USB ports up front; every imaginable memory card slot on the front). The power button can be configure to make it go to "sleep" and the thing barely consumes the power of a 100 watt light bulb. The only downside is the lack of expandability, two small form factor expansion slots (cards that fit in there cost considerably more). The keyboard is slim, full size, and with nifty shortcut buttons. The freebie mouse is not comfortably shaped, so I replaced it with a basic Microsoft mouse bought on Amazon. The build quality is excellent and beats the quality of Dells by a wide margin. Highly recommended.
BEAUTIFUL MACHINE IN AMAZING FORM FACTOR November 3, 2008 iHuman (New York) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pros- beautiful very small form factor Cons- only one PCI and one PCI Express slots expandability in general is lacking- but considering the form factor this is understandable runs a little hot, only a CPU fan A fully-functional desktop machine in a very nice and small package ! I use this PC in my entertainment center, so it had to be aesthetically pleasing and matching the rest of my AV components. And it didn't disappoint ! It's also relatively quiet so you don't hear the fans while watching movies. I also ordered a NVIDIA card with HDMI output and it looks fantastic on my 50" HP plasma screen ! Great value for money !
