It's worth the money November 19, 2008 JWOT (Albany, NY USA) A simple and an understandable book on SEO.It's worth the money.Would recommend it to everyone.
Every website owner must buy this book! November 5, 2008 Cindy M. Cooper (Green Bay) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book to learn what I couldnt afford my web guy to do for me. My website was not generating much traffic and I thought it was a lack of good key words. Here's what I learned in the first 3 chapters: By looking at the source code on my site as instructed by the book to do for basic elements I found: My web pages beyond the home page had no title, description or key words! And more disturbing, my web guys business info was listed in the top area of every page where my page description and key words are supposed to go! I also learned I was not listed in an important directory, which I was able to do myself in 10 minutes. I am hopping mad at my web guy and looking for a new one! BUY THE BOOK!
Review by Holly Crosgrey of Peter Ken'ts SEO for Dummies October 25, 2008 Holly Crosgrey (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am new at search engine optimization and needed a reference to help me get it right the first time. I bought Peter Kent's book because he has alot of knowledge on Wordtracker and I wanted to understand that completely. I am very pleased with this book and the many tips and tricks he passes on. The book contained much much more information than I had anticipated it would. Peter gets down to the basics and really explains how things work online. I will be using Peter's book as a resource for some time to come since it is packed full of information that will take me some time to digest and make use of. I had the opportunity to write Peter Kent. The impression I get of Peter Kent from his book and other resources I have seen is that he is an honest man who wants to let the newbie learn how to do search engine optimization the right way. The book is on its third version and I would suggest to anyone that they buy the latest version of the book rather than an other version since the internet world changes quickly. This would be a recommendation for any book on any type of internet marketing.
Understandable, basic, doable for the novice October 24, 2008 Michelle Hill (Huntington Beach, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The suggestions given in this book are doable for the SEO novice. Practical applications, plenty of warnings of what NOT to do, and written in a direct, plain and simple style, this book was worth the purchase price. I had to re-read and "chew" on the technical terms and others not familiar with internet-speak might get lost in all the "foreign" terms. I would recommend this book for someone who wants to make simple changes to their website to increase SEO.
This is a great book on this topic October 16, 2008 EZPowell / Gavin Powell (USA) Hits spot-on in the Dummies category, given that this topic is lots of common sense and not really much technical complexity at all. Read it cover to cover. What more can I add to that.
